"I joined Maritime Constructions back in January of 2009.
I was immediately surprised at how accessible Managers and Senior Managers were. As a relatively inexperienced and
new member to the team I often found myself called upon to offer up my opinion, or suggestions on a range of subjects
which was empowering and motivating.
I have been able to increase my knowledge at an accelerated rate by being involved at all stages of the project lifecycle
and through working with some very experienced people. These people are not only the Management
team or Supervisors but the guys at the coal face, whose knowledge and skills are highly valued through the organisation.
It wasn't long after I began that I found myself drawn more and more to the project management side of the business.
I approached my Manager and requested some formal training in project management, which Maritime Constructions
were happy to fully support financially and late 2011 I was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Project Management from
the University of South Australia.
I now find myself managing multi-million dollar projects which are always challenging and through Maritime's partnering
approach to clients we always a deliver a successful project. The organisation continues to grow and with fresh challenges
on the horizon and knowing I'm a part of the bigger Maritime Constructions picture I'm pretty excited about the opportunities."
